A reader asks:
A friend of mine is pregnant for the 3rd time. Their oldest child is a 5 yr old daughter. They also have a 3 1/2 yr old daughter.
They are now pregnant with their 3rd child, due in mid Feb. They gave away the crib, changing table, everything baby related because they thought they were finished having children.
They had showers for both girls and are now having a shower for the expected boy.
Isn?t it tradition that you have a shower for only the first child or possibly another shower if the children are very far apart in age?
I believe my friend and her husband expect others to pay for their new children?s expenses. They have the reputation of being tight-wads.
I feel that I have given plenty as have all other family members and friends.
Are they going overboard or am I?
